- B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders, or students enrolled in Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programs with the required percentage of marks, are also eligible to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree holders will only be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
- Final year/result awaited candidates in B.E./B.S./B.Tech are eligible to apply for fellowship opportunities but not for Lectureship/Assistant Professor.
- Final year/result awaited candidates in B.Sc. (Hons.) are not eligible to apply.

CSIR NET Earth Science Answer Key 2024
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will upload the Provisional Answer key for the examination on their official website. This step allows candidates to review their answers and challenge any discrepancies in the provisional key. The CSIR NET Answer Key 2024 will be accessible for a duration of two to three days.
To challenge the provisional answer key, candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200 per question answer. - Convert raw marks from different shifts/sessions into NTA Scores (percentiles) for multi-shift papers.
- Refer to Annexure-XVII for the detailed procedure on NTA Score normalization.
- Calculate NTA Scores corresponding to raw marks for all shifts/sessions in case of subject tests conducted in multi-shifts.
- Merge calculated NTA Scores from all shifts/sessions for further processing in allocation decisions.
- If percentiles from multi-shifts are dissimilar/unequal, set the lowest percentile as the eligibility cutoff for all candidates (across all shifts).
