UPSC NDA & NA Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects to be eligible for the NDA exam.
UPSC NDA & NA Exam 2024 Examination Pattern
The NDA exam consists of two stages – a written examination and an interview. The written examination consists of two papers – Mathematics and General Ability Test. The Mathematics paper is 300 marks and has 120 questions, while the General Ability Test is 600 marks and has 150 questions. The duration of each paper is 2.5 hours.
The interview is conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) and is of 900 marks. The interview tests the candidate’s intelligence and personality, including qualities such as leadership, initiative, and integrity. The total marks for the NDA exam are 1800, with the written examination and interview carrying equal weightage.
UPSC NDA & NA Exam 2024 Syllabus
The syllabus for the NDA exam is divided into two parts – Mathematics and General Ability Test. The Mathematics syllabus includes topics such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vector Algebra, and Analytical Geometry. The General Ability Test syllabus includes topics such as English, General Knowledge, and Psychological Tests.
Outcomes of UPSC NDA & NA Exam 2024
The NDA exam is a great opportunity for the young men and women of India to join the Indian Armed Forces as officers. The examination is tough and requires a high level of dedication, hard work, and commitment from the candidates. The candidates must have a clear understanding of the syllabus, and exam pattern, and prepare effectively to increase their chances of success.
Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam, as determined by the Commission at its discretion, will be put on a list by the Union Public Service Commission. Such candidates must appear before a Services Selection Board for an intelligence and personality test, after which they will be evaluated on their officer potential for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy. In addition, candidates for the Air Force must also pass the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS). If they give the SSB and are willing, candidates with the Air Force as one of their choices will also go through the CPSS.
