UPSC CDS 2 Exam Notification 2024 – Educational Qualifications
Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Chennai
- Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
Indian Naval Academy (INA)
- Qualification: Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution
Air Force Academy (AFA)
- Qualification:
- Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)
- OR Bachelor of Engineering
Additional Notes for Graduates and Final Year Students
- Graduates:
- Candidates who select Army/Navy/Air Force as their first choice must submit proof of graduation or provisional certificates at the time of the SSB Interview commencement.
- Final Year/Semester Students:
- Candidates studying in the final year/semester of their degree course can apply provided they do not have any current backlogs up to the last semester/year for which results have been declared at the time of application submission.
- These candidates must submit proof of passing the degree examination at the time of course commencement.

Indian Military Academy (IMA)
- Eligibility: Unmarried male candidates
- Age Range: Born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2006
Indian Naval Academy (INA)
- Eligibility: Unmarried male candidates
- Age Range: Born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2006
Air Force Academy (AFA)
- Eligibility:
- Standard Age Range: 20 to 24 years as of 1st July 2025 (Born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2005)
- For CPL Holders: Upper age limit relaxed up to 26 years (Born not earlier than 2nd July 1999 and not later than 1st July 2005)
- Additional Note: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years are eligible but will not be provided married accommodation or allowed to live with family during training.
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) – SSC Course for Men
- Eligibility: Unmarried male candidates
- Age Range: Born not earlier than 2nd July 2000 and not later than 1st July 2006
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) – SSC Women Non-Technical Course
- Eligibility: Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (with divorce documents) who have not remarried
- Age Range: Born not earlier than 2nd July 2000 and not later than 1st July 2006
