Post Description : The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) has issued the MH SET 2024 Notification on its official website. Along with the notification, the MH SET Eligibility Criteria for 2024 will also be released. It is imperative for candidates to fulfill the MH SET Eligibility Criteria specified for 2024 to be eligible to take the MH SET 2024 Exam. Failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in the cancellation of candidature at any stage of the recruitment process. Candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria provided in the detailed notification before applying for the MH SET 2024 Exam.
MH SET Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility:
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in the MH SET Exam.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications:
- Completion of a Master’s or Postgraduate degree recognized by the U.G.C.
- For candidates from the general category, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the Master’s or equivalent examination is required.
- Candidates belonging to OBC, SBC, DT(VJ), NT (non-creamy layer), SC, ST, Transgender, PwD, and orphans categories must secure a minimum of 50% marks in their Master’s or equivalent examination.
- The subject of post-graduation must be the same as the subject chosen for the MH SET Exam.
Example:
- Candidates may appear for the MH SET Exam only in the subject of their post-graduation. For instance:
- Home Science: M.Sc., M.A. Home Science
- Commerce: M.Com
- Environmental Science: M.Sc. Env. Sci.
- Life Science: M.Sc. Life Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology, etc.
MH SET Age Limit
No upper age limit to apply online for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test.
