Indian Navy SSC Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders

For Merchant Navy Personnel:

  1. Certificate of Competency: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competency (Foreign going) issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Shipping & Transport as a Second Mate, Mate, or Master.
  2. Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 02 January 1995 and 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).

For Technical Branch (SSC Engineering):

  1. Certificate of Competency: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competency as 1st Engineer of a steamship issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Shipping & Transport.
  2. Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 02 January 1995 and 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).

For Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders:

  1. CPL: Candidates must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) provided by DGCA (India).
  2. Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 02 January 2000 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).

For NCC Candidates:

  1. NCC ‘C’ Certificate: NCC ‘C’ certificate holders are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in cut-off marks when shortlisting candidates for SSB, subject to fulfilling the given criteria.
  2. Age Limit: Candidates must meet the age criteria specified for their respective entry.

Nationality:

Candidates must be citizens of India.

Miscellaneous Eligibility Criteria:

  1. NCC ‘C’ Certificate: Naval/Army/Air Wing certificate with minimum ‘B’ Grade. Not worked less than two academic years in the Senior Division, Naval/Army/Air Wing of the NCC. The date of the ‘C’ certificate should not be prior to 01 Jan 2022.
  2. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must satisfy all educational qualifications prescribed before joining INA by 20 December 2024.

Required Documents:

  1. Marks sheets up to the required semesters for BE/B.Tech courses.
  2. Proof of date of birth (as per 10th and 12th certificate).
  3. CGPA conversion formula for BE/B.Tech.
  4. Merchant Navy certificate provided by the Government of India, Ministry of Shipping and Transport.
  5. NCC ‘C’ certificate issued by the National Cadet Corps.
  6. Latest passport-size color photograph in original JPG/TIFF format.
