RRB ALP Notification 2023

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Exam, popularly known as the RRB ALP exam, is undertaken by students interested in the posts of Technicians and Assistant Loco pilots. It is administered by the Railway Recruitment Board and is taken in all the different railway zones throughout India. The Railway Recruitment Boards are spread all across the country. The RRB ALP exam is conducted to find eligible candidates for all 21 Railway Recruitment Boards. Aspirants can take the exam in over 12 different languages: Hindi, English, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Tamil, Marathi, Manipuri, Telugu, Konkani, Urdu.

Indian citizens aged 18-30 are eligible to take the RRB ALP 2023 exam. Candidates however must have a Degree/ diploma in engineering. The degree must be prefixed by their mark sheet of matriculation/ SSCL. They can also present proof of apprentice training along with 10+2 completion in Physics and Maths.

The RRB ALP exam is conducted in three phases: Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. The RRB ALP Paper 1 and Paper 2 is for the post of Technicians, whereas ALP aspirants are required to sit through all three papers. Candidates clearing all the phases get selected for postings across the country.

What is RRB Assistant Loco Pilot?

The full form of ALP is Assistant Loco Pilot. This exam is administered by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). RRB is a government agency for the recruitment of Group C and Group D non-gazetted civil service and engineering posts in Railways. RRB forms a recruitment policy that monitors the activities and expenditures and keeps tabs on the workforce. It also manages the management information system done by the RRB’s.
