Haryana Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility conditions for the Police Constable post have been defined on the grounds of age, educational qualification, and physical standards.

Age Limit

• The age limit shall be 18-25 years. (On the first day of the month in which the applications are invited for recruitment of Constable i.e on 01-02-2024).
• For the candidates belonging to the SC, BC, EWS categories relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be given as per Govt. rules.

Education Qualification

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent
• Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects or higher education
• No extra weightage will be given to the candidate for Higher education

Haryana Police Constable Selection Process 2024

Candidates applying for the Haryana Police Constable exam will be shortlisted on the basis of CET Score. Then on the basis of their CET Score, they will undergo for Physical Measurement Test and then for Physical Screening Test both of which shall be of qualifying nature only & finally the shortlisted qualified candidates of each category will go for Knowledge Test. A final selection list will be made for the candidates who will qualify for all the rounds. The selection process can be checked by candidates as given below.

Haryana Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024

As stated above, the selection process for the Police Constable exam consists of (Knowledge Test) and the Physical Screening Test. The exam pattern for both of these important selection stages has been given below.

A. Exam

• The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. both in Hindi as well as in English (except where English Knowledge has to be tested).
• An Offline (OMR base) written examination for Knowledge Test will be held for recruitment for the post of Constable
• In case a candidate doesn’t mark any of the five options for a question then 0.945 marks for each un-attempted question shall be deducted.
• The exam will consist of objective-type questions only.
• There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
• The Test will be of 94.5 marks.
• The test will have 100 questions, each question carrying 0.945 marks.
• Minimum 50% marks for general category and minimum 40% marks for reserved category are required to be obtained in the knowledge test.

B. Physical Screening Test

• The screening test will not carry any marks, it will be qualifying in nature.
• The candidates who qualify the standards prescribed for this test will undergo a Physical Measurement Test further.

C. Physical Measurement Test

The Physical Measurement Test is the test conducted by the board to take the physical measurements of the candidates which must be according to the standards set by the board. The baord will take measurement of the chest, height, etc of the candidates and if any candidates fail to meet the standard then he or she can’t move further in the selection process. D. Additional Weightage

The Additional Weightage of (maximum 03 + 2.5 =5.5 marks) will be provided as given below:- (a) NCC certificate: Candidates having NCC certificate of A, B or C level shall get 01, 02 and 03 marks respectively (for Constables). (b) Socio Economic Criteria: – Maximum two and half (2.5) percent socio-economic criteria weightage shall be admissible to eligible candidates as per Common Eligibility Test Policy.

Document Verification

Theboard will conduct a document verification round at the time of scrutiny, candidates need to bring the following as mentioned below.

• Academic Qualification Certificate.
• Scanned Copy of Caste Certificate (SC, ST, OBC, etc)
• Photographs
