SAIL OCTT Selection Process 2024
- Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT will have 100 objective type questions divided into two sections. The first section will consist of 50 questions on Domain Knowledge, and the second section will have 50 questions on Aptitude Test. The duration of the CBT will be 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks will be determined based on the percentile score, with different qualifying marks for UR/EWS posts and SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwBDs posts.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for certificate verification. During this stage, their documents will be verified by the authorities to confirm their eligibility for the position.
Regarding the salary for SAIL OCTT 2024:
i) During the training period, candidates selected for the Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – (OCTT) posts will receive a consolidated pay of Rs.16,100/- for the first year and Rs.18,300/- for the second year. They will also receive free medical facilities and other benefits as per the organization’s rules.
ii) Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be considered for regular employment in S-3 grade with a scale of pay ranging from Rs. 26,600-3%-38,920/-(S-3). Along with the basic pay, they will also receive Industrial Dearness Allowance, perquisites under the cafeteria approach, other allowances, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity as per the Gratuity Act, free medical treatment for self and family, etc., as per the company’s guidelines.
