How to Calculate the Marks Using the NMAT Exam Answer Key?
The GMAC has highlighted that the candidates appearing in the NMAT exam have to calculate the marks on their own using the NMAT Answer Key. This helps the candidates in calculating a rough score and analyzing their performance level in the examination. The candidates can follow the steps mentioned in the space below to successfully calculate the rough score.
- The candidates have to download the answer key of NMAT and post this the candidates are required to cross-check the answers marked by them with the ones marked by the council.
- Post this, they have to follow the marking scheme released by the GMAC i.e. 1 mark for every correct answer and negative marks for the wrong answers.
- Upon final calculation, the candidates will reach the raw marks scored by them in the NMAT examination.

Factors Affecting the NMAT Exam Cut Off Marks
The NMAT Exam Cut Off changes every year and a lot of colleges participate in the exam every year. The candidates who are preparing for the exam of NMAT should be well versed with all the important factors before going up for the examination.
- The seats available for each course in each participating college decide the cut-off marks of the NMAT exam. If the number of seats available with the colleges is less in comparison to the total applicants applying for the exam then cut-off marks will soar high. Hence, to avoid the excess rush the board keeps the cut-off high to ease out the number of examinations.
- The second point that decides the NMAT Exam Cut Off is the difficulty level of the questions asked in the exam paper. If the difficulty level of the question asked in the paper falls in a difficult range in that case the cut-off is on a lower side. While if the difficulty level of the paper falls in the easy stage the range of the NMAT Exam Cut Off 2021 is low.

NMAT Selection Process
The NMAT selection process consists of a group discussion (GD) or case discussion (CD), a personal interview (PI), and a written ability test (WAT). These rounds are conducted by the NMAT member institutes independently and in accordance with their own admission schedules.
Group Discussion Round
Candidates are put into groups of 7-10 people each for the Group Discussion (GD) stage of the NMAT selection process. The subject for discussion is then assigned to each group.

Case Discussion Round
Some institutes conduct a Case Discussion round instead of a Group Discussion round. If students are required to appear for the Case Discussion round, they must first understand that preparing for the CD round is identical to preparing for the GD round. It is, however, a little different. An organized discussion of any specific circumstance will be offered as a case in the Case Discussion round. Students will need to create at least 2-3 significant entries in a short period of time, say 15 minutes.
Personal Interview
For the NMAT selection process, the GD round is followed by the Personal Interview round. During this step, the candidate is interviewed by members of the B-internal School’s selection committee as well as independent experts in the topic. The panel asks the candidates questions on management, current events, and global events.
Written Ability Examination
Many NMAT-accepting universities have a Written Ability Test in addition to the GD and PI rounds during the NMAT selection process. Candidates’ writing and communication abilities will be examined in the Written Ability Test. The B-selection School’s committee assigns a topic to write on in 15-20 minutes for the written test as well.
