Jharkhand Polytechnic Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Before the commencement of the online application procedures, the candidates need to check the Jharkhand Polytechnic qualification criteria for admission and ensure to satisfy those criteria in order to appear for the examination. The eligibility criteria include:

• Candidates must have qualified for their class 10 or equivalent examination with a minimum score of 35% marks.
• Candidates who are appearing for the 10th or equivalent examination are also eligible, provided he/she passes the examination before the commencement of the counseling process.
• The candidate should be a local or a permanent resident of Jharkhand. They must possess a domicile of the same state.
• There is no age bar imposed for appearing in the examination. However, the candidates seeking admission into the Mining Engineering branch must have a minimum age of 17 years on or before July 1, 2024.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Admissions Process 2024

For applying to the Jharkhand Polytechnic admissions, candidates can follow the following steps for the online application submission:

Registration

• Visit the official website of JCECEB at www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
• Click on the box ‘Click Here for All Online Application Submission-JCECEB 2024’.
• Then, Click on ‘Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination-2024 (P.E.C.E.)’.
• Click on ‘New registration’.
• Fill in all the relevant details like the Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• Registration ID will be generated for the candidate that needs to be noted.

Application Submission

• Visit the website at www.jceceb.cbtexam.in/Home/ListofExam.aspx.
• Click on ‘Already Registered User.
• Enter the Login ID and Password.
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• Fill in all the relevant personal details, educational qualification details, and communication details.
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Upload Documents

• Upload a scanned passport-size photograph, candidate signature, and left thumb impression such that all images should have a file size above 50 KB.
• Click on the ‘Proceed’ button after ensuring all the images have been uploaded correctly.

Fee Payment

Candidates will have to pay an application fee at the end of the online application submission. General, as well as OBC candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 650, whereas Scheduled Cascounselingheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, as well as female candidates, have to pay an application fee of INR 325. Candidates can either pay the fee through any payment method like a credit card, debit card, net banking, or through e-challan.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Admission 2024: Exam Pattern

The Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination is conducted only in the offline mode by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The paper consists of only three sections Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates can opt for either English or Hindi as the medium for attending the examination. A total of 150 questions are provided in the question paper. All the questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each correctly answered question is awarded 1 mark, whereas 0.25 marks get deducted for each incorrect answer. The duration of the Exam is 150 minutes.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Admissions 2024: Result

The candidates who appeared for the PECE entrance exam will be able to check their results on the official website by entering their Roll Number/ Application Number. The results for Jharkhand Polytechnic will be uploaded to the official website or a direct link will be provided to the candidates. The marks will be released in the form of a scorecard and the rank list will be published following the release of scores. The candidates will be selected for admission solely based on their performance in the PECE exam.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Admissions 2024: Counselling Process

• JCECEB will conduct counseling for polytechnic admissions after the release of the rank list. Candidates will be intimated about the date and venue by the respective authorities. Information regarding Counselling will be made available to candidates on the official JCECEB website. The total number of Counselling rounds depends on the number of seats that remain vacant after each round of the counseling process. Generally, up to three counseling rounds are conducted each year.
• The candidate appearing for the counseling rounds has to pay the counseling fee for participation. General and OBC candidates have to pay an amount of INR 400, while female and SC/ST candidates will have to pay an amount of INR 250. It should be noted that once paid, the counseling fee shall remain non-refundable. Candidates have the option to pay the counseling fee through a Bank Challan, Post Office Challan, or an Indian Postal Order.
