DBT GAT B 2024 Notification
The DBT GAT B 2024 Notification was released on 8th February 2024. It provides details about participating institutions and universities offering DBT-supported Post-Graduate courses in Biotechnology and allied sciences. DBT GAT B 2024 Exam Date
The GAT-B 2024 examination is scheduled for April 20, 2024 (Saturday). The duration of the examination is 180 minutes (3 hours). The examination will be held at two separate timings: from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The mode of examination will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The medium of the question paper will be in English. The syllabus for the examination will follow the guidelines mentioned in the Information Bulletin.
DBT GAT B 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria of participating institutions and universities are eligible to apply for Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2024. Candidates must verify the eligibility criteria on the website of the respective institutions and universities.
- Only bonafide Indian nationals are eligible to apply for GAT-B 2024.
- Candidates who have either appeared or are due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree are eligible to apply for GAT-B 2024 under the result awaited (RA) category.
- Such candidates will have to submit the Undertaking/Attestation Form duly certified/stamped by the Head of the Institute (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing for the qualifying degree.
DBT GAT B 2024 Application Form
The online registration and submission period for GAT-B/BET-2024 commenced on February 8 and concluded on March 6, 2024. Similarly, the deadline for submitting the examination fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking Payment Modes was also on March 6, 2024. Correction in the application form particulars was permitted online only from March 8 to March 9, 2024.

The Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) consists of two sections:

DBT GAT B 2024 Admit Card
The DBT GAT B 2024 Admit Card serves as a provisional document provided to eligible candidates for the examination. It is available for download from the NTA website and includes essential details such as the examination date, timing, and center. Candidates must adhere strictly to the information provided in their Admit Card, as no candidate will be allowed to appear at the Examination center on any date or timing other than those specified in their Admit Card.
DBT GAT B 2024 Answer Key
The NTA will publish the Provisional Answer Key of the questions on its website, enabling candidates to raise challenges against it. The Provisional DBT GAT B 2024 Answer Key will remain accessible for a period of two to three days. Candidates can submit their challenges to the Provisional Answer Key online, accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200/- per challenged question.
DBT GAT B 2024 Result
The authorities have stated that the GAT B 2024 result will be determined using the final answer keys. After the declaration of the GAT B 2024 Result, no complaints regarding the Answer Keys will be entertained. Candidates will not receive a physical scorecard, and they are encouraged to download their GAT-B 2024 scorecards from the website @dbt.ntaonline.in exclusively.
DBT GAT B 2024 Reservation Policy
The Government of India’s Reservation Policy will be enforced for admissions into DBT-supported Postgraduate (DBT PG) programs in Biotechnology and related fields at participating institutions and universities nationwide. This policy aims to ensure equitable representation and equal opportunities for all categories as per the Indian Constitution. Any disputes regarding admissions will be resolved within the jurisdiction of Delhi courts exclusively.
