NTA begins CUET UG 2024 registration at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Given below are the latest news and updated related to CUET 2024 registration:

• CUET UG 2024 registration extended again till April 5. NTA has also added 2 new domain papers to CUET UG- Tourism and Fashion Studies.
• CUET 2024 application form confusing, report students and parents: As per latest reports, students have highlighted issues related to the identification number drop down list, ABC column (Academic Bank of Credits) meaning and guidelines, and DU not being in the list of universities.
• CUET UG 2024 to be conducted in hybrid mode. Subjects with more number of registrations to be conducted offline as OMR based test while others to be conducted online as a computer-based test.
• NTA has changed CUET UG 2024 official website to exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG instead of cuet.samarth.ac.in.
• Unlike previous year, candidates can choose a maximum of 6 papers instead of 10.
• CUET UG 2024 exam center will be increased to accommodate the hybrid exam model. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in 354 exam cities in India and 26 exam cities outside India.

CUET Registration 2024: Login Options

To create your login credentials for CUET registration 2024, NTA offers 6 options:

• Create CUET login using Aadhar card number
• Create CUET login through Digilocker account
• Create CUET login through ABC ID
• Create login through Indian Passport number
•  Create login through PAN Card number
• Create login through non-Indian passport

What is the ABC ID in CUET Registration?

ABC ID is a unique 12-digit number that every student needs to register for. It is like an online repository of a student’s academic credits, including all degrees, certificates, diplomas, training, and co-curricular achievements. It is an initiative under the APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) as part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ program of the government. Simply speaking, APAAR/ABC ID serves as a link to DigiLocker, the online store of all your academic records including exam results. The academic credits in ABC are received from the National Academic Depository. Consequently, this streamlines the authentication and verification of academic records. Now, if you do not already have an ABC ID, you can select the option ‘I do not have Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID). I wish to create my ABC ID and login and identify through ABC ID’ to proceed with the application process.

How to Fill CUET 2024 Application Form?

To register for CUET 2024, you need to visit exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG and complete the application details. The step-by-step process to fill CUET application form 2024 is provided below for your reference:

New Registration- Generate Login Credentials

For first time registration, click on the ‘Register’ tab and read the instructions on the next page carefully before clicking on ‘Click here to proceed’.

• Now, select one of the 6 login options and proceed with the verification process.
• Select a strong password and enter the security pin.
• Preview the details added and click on the “submit and send OTP to mobile” tab.
• Complete the OTP verification process to receive your unique application number for future login.

Complete CUET Application Form 2024

Now login again or continue filling CUET 2024 application form for remaining personal details, class 10 and 12 academic details, exam center and subject, university and programs.

Personal Details

Fill in the asked personal details including ID proof number, parents’ names & occupation details, whether an ex-serviceman, kashmiri migrant, ward of defence personnel, quota and category, etc.

• After filling all the details, click on ‘Update Personal Form’.
• Then, click on ‘Proceed to Next Section’ to fill in the academic details.

You need to add the academic qualifications for class 10 and 12.

After filling all the details, click on ‘Update Education Form’ and then finally click on ‘Proceed to Next Section’ to select the universities and courses.

University and Program Choices

You need to select the university and also indicate the course preferences offered by the university.

• Add and click on ‘Update Programme Form’
• Then, click on ‘Proceed to Next Section’ to opt for the test papers and subjects.

Select Test Papers/ Subjects

Like last year, you will have the option of choosing upto 10 test papers/ subjects this year.

• Save and click on ‘Update Test Paper/ Subjects Form’
• Then, click on ‘Proceed to Next Section’ to choose the exam city and center preferences.

You can select 2 test cities in order of preference. After making your selection, click on ‘Update Examination Center Form’ and move on to upload the required documents.

Recover CUET Application Number using Personal Details

To recover CUET application number using personal details, you need to enter 4 details:

• Your name
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Date of birth

Recover CUET Application Number using Registered Mobile Number

To recover CUET application form number using the registered mobile number, just enter your date of birth, the mobile number, and the displayed security pin. Then, click on the tab to receive your CUET UG 2024 registration number.

Common Service Centres for CUET UG Registration

Common Service Centres are established as part of the National e-Governance Plan of the Government of India. They are set up to help students with the submission of application forms and payment of fees through e-wallets or UPI. There are currently 1.5 lakh CSCs in operation at the village panchayat level. Students who are not well versed with the digital ICT infrastructure or face any problems in filling the form can use the services of a nearby Common Service Center.

• If you wish to claim for reservation, then make sure you clearly mention your category and upload the category certificate as required.
• Upload correct documents in the right size and format to avoid discrepancies.
• Eligibility for admission to a particular course varies university-wise. Make sure to check the course-wise eligibility criteria for the desired universities before applying.

Common Reasons for Rejection of CUET Application Form

NTA may reject your CUET application form on the grounds that the information provided is insufficient or incorrect.

• Partially submitted application: In case you have not completed the complete CUET application form or paid the fees, then it is equivalent to non-submission of the application. Until and unless you pay the fees and receive the registration confirmation from NTA, the application stands canceled.
• Incorrect information: If at any point, the NTA finds out that the information you provided in your CUET form is incorrect, your application will be straightaway rejected.
• Non-eligible for the programs chosen: If your educational qualifications do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the program chosen, your CUET 2024 application stands rejected.

How to Edit CUET Application Form After Submission?

To edit CUET application form after submission, you need to wait till NTA opens the correction window after the last date of registration. Using CUET application form correction facility, you are allowed one last chance to correct the mistakes committed, if any in the submitted form.

• The window is open for just 2-3 days
• Changes in name, nationality, mobile number and email address are not permitted under any circumstances.
• You need to login with the application number and password/ date of birth to amend the form
