Bihar UGEAC Counselling Process 2024

The Bihar Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling process 2024 begins with registration followed by multiple steps in between involving choice filling, document verification, and so on. Step 1: Registration Process

• Open the online portal of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board and fill in the JEE Main 2024 application number on the registration window.
• After the JEE Main 2024 application shall be verified, register using details like date of birth, name, mobile number, email id, etc., and check if all the credentials entered are correct.

Step 2: Verification of email id and mobile number

• Candidates shall be sent an OTP on both the email id and the mobile number to confirm the same.

Step 3: Registration Confirmation

• After the successful registration, the candidates will receive a confirmation mail and an SMS, containing the login credentials, that is the registration id and the application number.
• Keep the credentials to complete the further application process.

Step 4: Sign in and fill in the Application Form

• Candidates must sign in using the user registration id and password.
• Candidates shall enter the required personal, and other details correctly in the application form and click on the ‘submit and continue’ button.

Step 5: Upload the Documents

• Now, the candidates are required to upload their photograph, and a full signature in both Hindi and English, and click on the ‘submit and continue’ button.

Step 6: Update Educational Qualifications

• Now the candidates shall enter the required details regarding educational qualifications.

Step 7: Review and Submit

• Finally, review the admission form and click on the ‘I agree’ checkbox to reassure that all the details that have been provided in the form are true to the knowledge of the candidate and submit the application.

Step 8: Payment of Counselling Fee

• With the successful registration, candidates shall click on ‘proceed to payment’.
• Candidates are required to make the payment through a debit/ credit card or net banking/ UPI.
• Complete the process by paying the Counselling fee. No admission forms are accepted without the payment of the fee.

Step 9: Declaration of Bihar UGEAC Merit List

• The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board shall release the final merit list on its website on the basis of JEE Main scores of the candidates.

Step 10: Choice Filling and Locking on the Option Form

• Now, on the respective login portals on the official website, the candidates shall be allowed to choose their program/ institutes in the order of preference.
• Candidates are required to choose from the list of available courses and institutes.
• Candidates can change/ edit/ delete or modify their order of preference only before making the final submission of the admission forms. No modification shall be allowed once the submission is completed.

Step 11: Declaration of Seat Allotments

• On the basis of preferences, the seats shall be allotted to the students as per the seat matrix.
• The allotment results will be visible on the website of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board.

Step 12: Acceptance of Seats

• Now, the students have the option to choose between the following three choices available such as

1. Floating: this option is available to those who wish to go for the further seat upgradations.
2. Sliding: this option is available to those who want to be considered for a higher preferred choice within the allotted institute.
3. Freezing: And, if the candidate is satisfied with the allotted institute and does not want to upgrade, s/ he must go for this option.

Step 13: Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Documents Verification

• Now, the candidates must visit the campus of the institutes along with the required documents and the seat allotment letter.
• The documents shall be verified by the participating institutes in which the seat has been offered to the students to ensure the final admission.
• Failure to do the same shall result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Note:

• With this, another list of vacant seats shall be made available on the website of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board.
• Following this, the candidates are eligible to fill in another choice if they wish to go for another round of Bihar UGEAC Counselling.
• The same procedure is followed in all the subsequent rounds of Counselling (if applicable).
