The Computer-based Exam will be held on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th February 2024, and 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, and 12th March 2024. Candidates who are planning to appear for the Exam must go through the SSC GD Syllabus for the Constable post which is given in this article. The SSC GD Syllabus consists of 4 subjects including General Intelligence and reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. SSC GD Exam Pattern 2024- Detailed:
- The Written Exam is conducted online and is an MCQ Paper.
- Time Duration: 1 Hour
- 0.50 marks will be deducted against every question attempted wrong.
- The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.

SSC GD Constable 2024 PST Test:
Candidates who pass the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam. The candidate who fails to qualify for the PST their candidature will be cancelled.

Syllabus: The syllabus for the Computer Based Examination will be as follows
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning
2. General Knowledge and General Awareness
3. Elementary Mathematics
4. English/ Hindi
General Intelligence and Reasoning:
Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc
General Knowledge and General Awareness:
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
English/ Hindi:
Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.
