MPSC Combined Syllabus Prelims

The first stage of the MPSC Combined selection process is the preliminary exam. MPSC Combined Exam Pattern Prelims Exam

The General Aptitude is the only paper in the preliminary exam, as per the notification issued by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission for the MPSC Group B exam. Candidates for different jobs must pass this exam to be eligible for the Mains exam.

  • The prelims exam is an objective-type exam.
  • The preliminary paper will be the same for every post.
  • The exam will last for one hour.
  • There are a total of 100 questions in the exam, which are worth 100 marks.
  • Every wrong answer will result in a 1/4 mark deduction.

MPSC Combined Exam Pattern Mains

The mains exam consists of two exams and is held individually for each of the three posts.

  • There are two papers in the main exam.
  • The first paper is the same for every post, while the second one will differ based on the post.
  • There are 100 questions total for 200 marks in each paper.
  • Each paper will last for one hour.
  • Every wrong response will result in a 1/4 mark deduction.

MPSC Combined Service Interview

Candidates who pass the prelims and mains will be shortlisted for the physical examination. Interviews will only be conducted for candidates for the position of police sub-inspector. They will be shortlisted for the interview phase if they pass the physical exam. The candidates will be called for an interview round if the results are equal to or higher than the MPSC Combined cut-off. The interview is worth 40 marks in total.
