How to Calculate Marks For SSC CHSL Result
The students can calculate the total marks using the marking scheme decided by the commission. Candidates are always eager to know how well they have scored in the exam to prepare for the next rounds. With the help of the answer key, the candidates have an estimate of their score in the exam before checking out the SSC CHSL Result.
- The Tier I exam is for 200 marks in total.
- There are 100 questions in the Tier I exam.
- For each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 2 marks.
- For each wrong answer, the 0.50 mark is deducted.
- Thus the candidates can add two marks for all the correct answers and minus 0.50 of the total marks they scored for every wrong answer.

In cases where two or more candidates have the same marks, the following criteria will be used to break the tie:
- Aspirants who do well in the tier 2 exam will be given a higher ranking.
- If the tie still exists, a candidate who is older in terms of age would be ranked higher.
- If the tie persists even after that, the alphabetical order of the candidates’ names will be reviewed, and the candidates will be ranked accordingly.

The qualified candidates have to appear for a document verification process in which they have to submit all their original documents. The candidates also have to submit their Department and Post options during the verification of these documents.
