Brief Information: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced a Notification for Conducting the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Exam 2023. Those Candidates who are interested in the vacancy details & completed all eligibility criteria can read the Notification & Apply Online.

KSET Result 2023

KSET result 2023 has been declared on May 28, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their KSET 2023 result at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The Karnataka SET scorecard 2023 has been released for 95201 candidates. Out of which 6675 candidates have qualified for both the papers in 41 subjects.

The Karnataka SET result contains details such as marks obtained, name of students, application number, category of student, subject, qualifying marks, cut off, etc. Only those students who clear the KSET 2023 cut off will be called for the counselling process.

KSET result 2024 has been released on the official website on May 2, 2024. The result has been released in PDF format separately for each subjects. The provisional score list for all th subjects have been shared in the table below.

KSET 2024 Minimum Qualifying Percentage

The University of Mysore will release the KSET Result 2024 in three stages. The candidates who fulfil the minimum qualifying criteria will be eligible for the Assistant Professor/lectureship in universities in Karnataka.

  • Step 1: The candidates need to score the KSET minimum qualifying marks in both Paper I and Paper II. Candidates who have obtained the minimum aggregate percentage of both papers will appear in the KSET merit list.

How to Calculate KSET Marks 2024?

The University of Mysore will release the KSET provisional answer key, and with the help of the answer key, the applicants can calculate the probable score in the KSET exam.

  • The candidates are deemed qualified through the marks scored in the written exam.
  • The KSET exam comprises two papers. Paper I is general for all the candidates, and paper II is a specialized subject opted by the candidates.
  • The marks weightage of paper I is 100 marks while paper II is 200 marks.
  • Each question carries 2 marks and no negative marks in the exam.
  • Students must attempt all the questions, as the paper has no extra-choice questions.

KSET 2024 Selection Process

The candidates who have scored the KSET minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the KSET certificate. The candidates will receive the KSET certificate after submitting the required documents.

The authorities will prepare the slots according to the UGC formula. As per the UGC directives, 6% of the appearing candidates will be selected.

The reservation policy in the state will compute the category-wise qualifying slots available for eligibility for Assistant Professor. Subject and category-wise distribution of qualifying slots will be calculated using the below formula.
