CLAT 2020: Qualifying Cut Off vs Admission Cut Off
The qualifying cut-off is the minimum score required to qualify the exam to be eligible for admission in colleges. Admission cut-off is the minimum rank required for admission in top CLAT colleges. Generally, if the candidate scores more than 70 marks then his rank would be around 300, which would get him admission in any top NLU. The admission cut-off is released on the official website every year.
Factors Determining the CLAT Cut-off 2020
The CLAT cut-off is determined by several factors such as
- The number of candidates appearing for the exam affects the cut-off, more the number of candidates more is the cut-off rank.
- The difficulty level of the exam and the candidate’s performance in it also determine the cut-off of that year. If the exam is difficult and the candidates don’t perform very well in it, the cut-off rank would be comparatively lower.
- The number of seats available in all CLAT campuses for different programs, if the availability of seats is more then the cut-off would be relaxed.
- The total number of applications received is another factor affecting the CLAT cut-off, if the number of applications is low then the cut-off would be low
