Karnataka PGCET 2024 Application Opens May 27

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun accepting applications for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024. This exam is for people who want to apply for MBA, MCA, M. Tech, and M. Arch courses in Karnataka.

  • According to the official notice, you can apply from May 27 to June 17. To apply, you need to make sure you meet the requirements. You must have at least 50% marks in your qualifying degree exam. However, if you belong to reserved categories, you can apply if you have a minimum of 45% marks.

The Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam will take place on July 13 and 14. On July 13, the exam for ME, MTech, and MArch courses will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The next day, July 14, the MBA and MCA exams will be held in two sessions. The MCA exam will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the MBA exam will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Application: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Karnataka PGCET 2024 application vary depending on the course chosen. Here are the key points:

For MBA Course:

  • Full-Time MBA: Candidates need a full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum course duration of 3 years. The minimum aggregate score required is 50% for general category candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • Part-Time MBA: Candidates must have a minimum of three years of post-qualification work experience. Their office must be located within a 40 km radial distance from the college they intend to apply to.

Documents Required for Karnataka PGCET 2024 Application

The documents required for the Karnataka PGCET 2024 application include:

  • 10th class mark sheet
  • 12th class mark sheet
  • Valid ID proof
  • Active mobile number and Email ID
  • Scanned copy of the candidate’s passport-sized photograph, signature
  • Scanned copy of candidates’ parent’s signature
  • Candidate’s left thumb impression
  • Income certificate
  • Caste certificate or any other required certificate.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Application Fees

The application fees for Karnataka PGCET 2024 are as follows:

  • For General/OBC category candidates, the fee is Rs. 650.
  • For Reserved candidates (SC/ST & category-1 of Karnataka candidates only), the fee is Rs. 500.
