  • Spatial and temporal changes in the size and distribution of population-global perspective with focus on India
  • Age and sex structure of the population in developed and developing countries, etc.

  • Nuptiality: Concepts and sources of ; Measures- crude marriage rate, age specific marriage rates, order specific marriage rates, singulate mean age at marriage (SMAM).
  • Marriage patterns in India: levels, trends and differentials in age at marriage, divorce, widowhood, widow remarriage, etc.

UGC NET Population Studies Exam Pattern 2024
