Age Limit:

For Constables, candidates must be between 18 to 28 years old. For Sub-Inspectors, the age range is 20 to 28 years. The reference date for calculating the age limit is July 1, 2024. Additionally, there may be relaxation in the age limit according to government regulations.

Post Details and Qualifications:

• Constable: There are 4208 vacancies available for Constables. To be eligible for this position, candidates must have completed at least the 10th standard.
• Sub-Inspector: There are 452 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors. Candidates applying for this role must have completed their graduation.

Application Fee:

The application fee varies based on the category:

• For General/OBC candidates, the fee is Rs. 500/-
• For SC/ST/ESM/Female/Minorities/EWS candidates, the fee is Rs. 250/-

RPF Selection Process 2024

: Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) Written Exam

• Candidates first appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) which assesses their knowledge and aptitude related to the job profile.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

• Candidates who qualify the CBT are eligible to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
• The number of candidates selected for PET/PMT is typically ten times the number of vacancies, based on the scores obtained in the CBT.
• PET assesses candidates’ physical fitness through tasks like running, long jump, and high jump, while PMT verifies candidates’ physical measurements against the prescribed standards.

Stage 3: Document Verification

• Candidates who successfully clear the PET/PMT proceed to the document verification stage.
• During this stage, candidates are required to present and verify their original documents, certificates, and identity proofs to authenticate their eligibility and credentials.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

• Candidates who clear the document verification stage undergo a thorough medical examination.
• The medical examination ensures that candidates meet the required medical standards and are physically fit to perform the duties associated with the position.
• Only candidates who pass the medical examination are considered for final selection.

RPF Exam Pattern 2024

In this exam pattern, candidates will face questions from three subjects: General Awareness (GK), Arithmetic (Maths), and Reasoning. The exam duration is 90 minutes, and there is negative marking where 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
