Candidates who passed the preliminary test of the UP PCS J exam are eligible for the mains exam. The mains exam consists of six papers, including two language papers.Before 2022, there was just one language paper. All of the papers are descriptive and available in both English and Hindi languages. Candidates can respond in their preferred language. The exam consists of 1000 questions with a 3-hour time limit. For the mains, candidates must be well-versed in the principles of law and its application.
